Hi, I'm Chante, founder of Common Ground Refill Market, a zero-waste refill market for families in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, launching first with delivery as we work toward opening our storefront. This didn't start as a business plan. It started with me trying to take care of myself again.

Somewhere between becoming a wife and a stepmom, I stopped prioritizing the things that used to ground me, including how I took care of my body and my home. In some of the other places I've lived, reaching for healthier, low-waste products was just normal. Easy, even. Here, it wasn't. If I wanted the same clean, plastic-free products, I had to drive out of town, order online, or just give up and buy whatever was on the shelf.

I'll be honest, going zero-waste felt overwhelming at first. New products. New habits. Figuring out what actually worked. I didn’t know where to start. But I kept going, one small swap at a time, and it brought me more joy than I expected. I'd found my way back to something I was genuinely passionate about, right when I needed it. I doubt I'm the only one who's felt that way.

That's when I noticed the bigger problem: Murfreesboro and Rutherford County don't have a single zero-waste refill option, and no free curbside recycling to fall back on either. If it was this hard for me to find healthy, low-waste products, it was hard for a lot of families around here. So I decided to build the thing I wished already existed and Common Ground Refill Market was born.

ZERO WASTE. ZERO BS. ZERO HASSLE.

Common Ground is going to be Murfreesboro's own zero-waste refill store, a place you can walk into, bring your own containers, and fill up on everything from dish soap to shampoo. We're working toward leasing that space right now. Until those doors open, we're starting exactly where our community needs us most: delivery.

We bring plastic-free shower, home, and laundry essentials straight to your door like the way the milkman used to do it, minus the horse and cart. You keep a set of permanent bottles. We keep them full. The jars that carry your refills come back to us, get washed, and go right back out on someone else's delivery and nothing gets thrown away just because it's empty. Our formulas are plant-based, EWG-safe, and 100% concentrate. One family delivery covers a full 30 days of heavy daily use.

This is a family effort, start to finish. As we get closer to opening our storefront, we're planning shelf space for local Murfreesboro makers too because this was never meant to be just our shop. It's meant to be ours, together.
